My Betta finally bit the bullet last night. He was quite the trooper. I had bought him from a WalMart when my mum said to go ahead and get a small kit for him.
He's traveled with me from house to house when I was moving alot in the Phoenix Valley and then he also went cross country on a 3 day journey with my parents on a move to Arkansas AND back to Phoenix in a Gatorade bottle on a Greyhound bus. He braved both trips well.
Den Ki also had a problem with fin rot here and there. Very sensitive to that I tell you! But in time he came to grow out some nice colored fins and always remained frisky until this summer when the house over heated and that was when he started to decline in health. He passed last night in his little 'incubator' that was placed in my planted 10 gallon. I came home last nogiht to see him laying sideways and very.. dead.
Den Ki was some sort of translation into I believe it was 'Vibrant Soul'. And indeed it was. He was around a year and a half old.
