Hi, I posted on the disease forums, but it looks like there's not too much communication there. Is it because nobody goes there? I was hoping to get some expert fishy advice. *SUPERSMIL

Anyway, after posting, I followed that little chart (like I probably should have done to begin with) that was linked in the FAQ and it says the whole bent spine thing is either sporozoa or fish tuberculosis. Is there a way to tell which is which, or just treat for one and hope it works (since it says sporozoa is incurable)?

Is there a cheaper alternative to fish TB than 30 days of a treatment that costs more than my wife's pills?

So looking a bit further in curing fish TB, is it really better just to euthanize all the fish in the tank, scrub everything down and start from scratch? Only one of the fish show any symptoms. I'm kinda hoping it is sporazora now....*goes to google sporazora*...

I would quarantine your molly. A cheap 2.5 gallon bare-bottom tank from the store with an air bubbler or a sponge filter should be sufficient for this. It is less expensive to treat one fish in 2.5 gallons instead of wasting a lot of medicine to treat the same fish in a 29 gallon.

Thanks Little. I probably need to get off my butt and get a hospital tank anyway.

The "treatment" for fish TB says to to a complete tank scrub. Is that absolutely necessary to do a complete bio-scrub if only one fish is having problems?
