OK, the local PetSmart got in Kuhli loaches recently. Having been looking for them for some time, I was quite excited and bought their entire stock (all 5). I divided them 2-1-1-1 into my different tanks.
Last night I was cleaning the spray bar on my Penguin 440 (the bio-wheels were tuning rather slowly). When I rinsed one of the spray bars out fell one of the little fellas. Dead.
Now, theoretically I know how he got in there, but if they can do that, how do you keep 'em in the tank?
BTW, they really are fun to watch. They don't seem to be as shy as people online say they are, but I do have lots and lots of cover in each tank.
RIP little buddy.
