Ive been thinking about getting a new tank(around 20-30 gallons. When i went to pets mart there was a 29 gallon bow front for 80$ and a regular 55 gallon for $90. Why are the bow fronts more expensive. And if i get a new tank around 20-30 gallons can i put a pair of anglefish and a few dwarf guoramis in there.
thanks for advice

yeah bowed fronts are just harder to create but there is really no difference between them.

If you can afford it get the 55 gallon and you can do more fish and have a bigger tank. That's a good price for a 55 gallon tank. ;D Good luck. 8) *thumbsupsmiley* *twirlysmiley*

Talk your parents into letting you put it somewhere else in the house.
My mother gave in when I was 14 and let me put a tank in our lounge, probably because I had 9 tanks in my bedroom.

If your tank is viewed by everybody in the family and it looks nice, it's much easier to get a bigger and better tank in the future.  Your parents will give in. ;D

Yeah. I have a 10 in the living room and I'm going to get a 20 to put in there so then there will be 2. Everyone that comes over loves to watch my convict cichlid in there. Like they said if it looks nice they probably won't mind. I am going to have 2 29's in my room soon and that will be when I max out, cause of plug in space! They will all be filled up. ;D

Around here a 29g tank with hood and lights cost around $70. Not to bad. And if you just do a search in a search engine you can find plenty of stand plans. I will try and find you some. ;D

In my opinion i would go with the bow front expechally if it is going to be a show tank. and to make a stand for it wouldent be hard at all as long as you have a scroll/jig saw a circular saw and a brain. if you would like i could draw up some plans for you that would alow you to acomidate for the bowed front and you would have a bow front stand too wich would look amazing and wouldent be to hard eather. if i can help you any more let me know e-mail me @ ken2rhodes@hotmail.com and let me know what you need.

Almost all my tanks are in my basement. I  only have like 2 in my room because it gets to hot in there and my parents are to cheap to turn on air conditioning.  :'(

I don't like  bow fronts.  I really don't see, if there is any different in the tank for being a show at all :)
