How in heck does one resize a photo so that it can be loaded into a post? ? I have tried several things. I am using Kodak software for my camera and also have paint as an accessory. if i try to resize in paint, it deteriorates the picture and when cropping, it takes the wrong part of the picture and resizes that. i have tried saving in kodak to my documents as a 25% picture and that's not working. technology baffles me today. help please.

I crop in the kodak software, then transfer the pic to paint and resize it using the Stretch/skew function. You won't keep the same clarity because ...well...the picture is smaller.

And save it as JPG file.

If you can't get it to work, you can email them to me and I'll try. IM me on AIM for my address if you want.

Another way you can do it if you can open the picture in paint, go to Image, and then "stretch skew" and you can resize the pics.

Paint isnt the greatest photo editor, but it'll do the job :)

And as Leopardess said, save it as a jpeg, it will compress the file size making it a much smaller file tham a .bmp

Thanks everyone. If you see the pics I am trying to load in new posts, then you will know that your advice worked. Argh. ;-) I downloaded that photo resizing program too - thanks boba.

the Microsoft Photo Editor that comes with XP is quite nice. Also it seems as if they have added more features to Paint in XP.

I love XP.

I use Paintshop Pro if I have to do any major editting. like airbrushing the algae off my plants hehe
