well as yall know i am a fan of the dirted tank. i dirted my 30 gallon with my green sunfish in it and was planning to plant it once i got good lighting. that tank has no heater so room temp dictates it. it's been a bit chilly. well i heated it up and well........ It triggered a spawning response. he been fine for a year without digging but all the sudden he decided to dig a nest. dirt EVERYWHERE it should not have been. I had to rip it all down and clean out the tank fill it and put him back in. i'm going to have to clean out the sand and dirt later on cause it's going to be way to cold the rest of the weekend to do it. live and learn i guess lol

lol well i was to irritated to take a pic of a black tank. i had no idea if he was alive or dead or where he was in the tank. all the fine dirt just suspended and the pumice in it was covering the entire surface of the water. then the edge of the glass it looked like a total revers with an inch of dirt on top of 2 inches of sand. it was realy bad lol.
