DIY Decorations-Newbie

#1
Hey I'm new here, and fairly new to fishtanks. I've had mine for 6 months now and can't been doing thing s trial and error. I was thinking about making some new decorations out of slate. I know I have to clean the slate and such. I was wondering if i could use hot glue to hold things together? If not what type of silicone should i get? Thanks!

Silicone sealant works great and is safe (it's the stuff used to hold the sides together). Like Jan mentioned, just make sure it's safe for aquariums. Most pet stores sell aquarium safe sealant.

I went outside and found some nice rocks(my back yard is mainly a ledgey area...) I was excepting the Pelco to use it more. But the Blood Parrot has a great desire to going under there and has so been doing so side ways(good or bad?). The Pelco and the Parrot don't really seem to get along.... Thanks for the help, definably gonna try to post a DIY on the Slate when i go out and get the silicone!
