I, too, have been reading that cories and botia should not be kept together. At first I couldn't see my loach bothering anyone, but since he's become established in the tank he will defend himself and his food against ANYONE, including the big boss gourami! I have particularly read that clown loaches usually become the dictators over other loaches...
I have never actually read what would happen... but I don't plan to find out.

yes clowns do get a little snappy, but i just make sure to spread out the food over the tank. i have kept loaches and cories successfully by doing this. start with flakes and then shrimp pellets, twice a day. the only fight ive had was between my two biggest clowns loaches, happend in the middle ofthe day so i dont think it was over food.

when clowns get bigger(4-5 inches) i think is when they need to be seperated from smaller cories and bottom feeders, because their size will give them an unfair advantage on the food supply.

if you got small cories and only got 1-3 you could eventually put them in your smaller tank once the loaches get too big, and if you dont get cories do get at least 2 more clowns. i find 5 a very nice school number to watch but its up to you:D good luck brobro!

Does anyone know anything about cories and dojo loaches together?

I decided to move the dojo out of the 65g into the 18g (took a while to catch him lol). I think he was a bit overwhelmed by the pleco and clowns in there.

I would like to get 3 (maybe 4) cories to go in there too.

So far the dojo has been a sweetheart to everyone, and from what I have read they aren't at all aggressive (and less aggressive than other loaches).

Any thoughts?
Sorry to hear your yoyo died :(
