Do filters affect plants?

I want to add one or two plants to my 125. I use a Fluval 404, Penguin 330 and a HOT 20 for filtration. If I add a few plants how can I figure out if my filters are taking too much away from the plants or do the filters "filter" the good stuff out of the water that the plants need? Am I worried about nothing?

You're pretty much worried about nothing. The only problem may come if you're adding carbon to your filters and adding ferts to the tank, as the carbon will somewhat cancel out the fertilizers.
