Corys do, part of their 'breathing' is to swallow air (their semi-regular darts to the surface) which allows them to live in areas very low in oxygen. they then absorb the oxygen as it travels through their intestinal tract.

I can't say as I've seen any other fish fart tho :)

Any creature with a digestive system will have waste products in the form of gases...and yes all these creatures do have to expel these gases to remain healthy...some in the form of a "fart" and others in the form of a "burp"...If I remember correctly, fishes gills perform dual duty from taking in air and expelling "noxious" gases...

So to answer your question, NO fish do not fart but yes they do get "gas"...

I'm sure fish fart . . . I had a school of 16 neons . . . the school always avoided one of them. They always seemed to stay "up current" from him. And upon further observation he always looked quite guilty.
