I was reading on another site and someone said frozen foods (bloodworm, brine shrimp etc.) sometimes have ich that can infect your tank.

I have heard differing opinions on ich. Some say it is always present in a tank, just waiting for stressed fish. Others say it is introduced on fish/plants.

Now I am wondering if frozen foods can introduce it.

Any ideas?

Don't worry your tank is probably already infected. That's the thing with parasites they travel quickly can stay hidden for long times and then suddenly appear. Frozen foods probably are much cleaner than your tank since they are usually irradiated and also the bloodworms aren't raised with fish so the parasite would not want to live with the bloodworms either. Either way don't get overly worried. Healthy fish easily resist infection.

I would say deffinitly not. If you look on the packeage of your frozen food it states that the food has been throughly cleaned and id free of parisites and other things. (or something like that;))

And as stated above, even if it somehow contained ich, your fish should not be suseptable to it, if you practice good husbandery.(sp?)
