I've been totally fishless for over a week. The tank has had fresh water sitting in it for that long, too. Plus new gravel. And the rock is out of the tank... the filter and heater have both been off. My bettas died from some funky thing that I couldn't figure out what. Seemed to be ich or columnaris and possibly dropsy.... they both pineconed in the end. If I let the tank sit for another week, and cleaned the rock really well, would it be okay to put fish in the tank again? Would the parasites or whatever be dead? Cuz I'm not going to be able to totally sterilize the tank until the weekend, and then it will be another 2 weeks or more until I get the fish cuz of cycling. Is the tank ok if I give it another week?

as long as you clean it thoroughly. i suggest boiling

your bacteria colony is likely to be dead already, so you'll end up having to cycle again no matter what.....

without a constant supply of ammonia, the bacteria will die

ok. yeah i was gonna boil... so i still have to cycle so I might as well clean it... ok.
