Hello everyone.
Just to start off here, i have two oscars, named Oscar and Grouch.
I have a question for anyone who has Oscars or may know about feeding them. I would like to know if red tiger oscars eat snails. A friend of mine has baby freshwater snails, and i dont want to put them in their inless i know for sure Oscar and Grouch will eat them. Im afraid they will take over the tank if my babies wont eat them. thank you for any info you can give me :D

Well how big are the oscars cause oscars will eat anything there like a dog theyll eat anything they can fit into there mouths and if it cant theyll taunt it till it dies and then eat it lol If the snails and the oscars are fairly the same size then they will grow with each other and also if the oscars are eating live foods

they are babies :)

Thanks Matt,
They are barely an inch long. The snails however are babies too, the size of a pin head. Since they are so small their shells are soft. You think i should just throw one in and see what happens?

My parents always described how much their oscars loved snails...I know they eat em :) Course I'm not sure what kind of snails...and they were full grown oscars not babies...so who knows. I think tossing one in and seeing what happens is a good idea.

Thanks

Thankyou all of your responces.
I think i am going to try to put one in for a few minutes and see what they do. They seem to really injoy the live food, and if i put pellets in there they seem to be bored as soon as it sinks. Judging by their personalities im guessing they wont like snails, but im going to try :)
Thanks again
