They're pretty hardy fish. Be really careful about making sure your tank has no "escape routes" they often jump out of tanks.

Mine like bloodworms, algae wafers, shrimp pellets and pretty much anything else. They're very friendly and in no way aggressive. Mine don't eat snails, but I have heard some do, depending on the individual. They dig a lot, and sometimes bury themselves if the substrate is soft. Mine love sleeping on the plants.

I love my dojo too, it's now over 6" and lives in my coldwater tank with goldies, minnows and a hillstream loach. Great value, loves to lounge on the plants and dig into the gravel, often hiding with just its eyes and mouth showing. Mine's very wary of me and scurries away during water changes, I've heard of others that are much more friendly and tactile.
