I had 5 swordtails and they are all dead now. I put 3 out of there missery this afternoon. But they had the same problem. their eyes blew up like a balloon and then literally popped. none of my other fish have had any kind of problems just them. Any one know what the problem was?

It sounds like some kind of bacterial infection. You have a heavily overstocked tank, which probably didn't help. Sorry about your swordtails

Sounds like the swordtails had Popeye..eww, yuck..Keep an eye out for signs on any other fish, and be sure to do a waterchange...I don't know if it's popeye for sure..could be many things since your tank is overstocked.

I did a 75% water change yesturday. I was in the progress of doing it when I was putting up this thread as a matter of fact. but is there anything I can get if it was popeye? as long as it aint to expensive. I don't wanna lose my other fish but if it happens it happens and I'll just go buy new ones and now that I know about stocking I won't over stock.
