whats it used for i found this on bigals i dunno what its for i thought its for the water to be a certain lvl then it lets water in after it drop below it but i have no idea the links below

there was nothing there on the link.dosing equipment does pretty much what it says.it's so a measured amount of whatever chemical,or additive you are adding to your tank is added in a constans and metered amount.dosers are good for reef tanks and planted tanks.i.e. calcium supplement,fertilizers etc...

water wouldlbe redudndant.a doser releases it's contents very slowly.so even if you tried to use one to top off evaporation it woulcn't work fast enough
