double red or double orange?

So I'm planning on getting a pair of cockatoo apistos for my tank. They guy at my LFS gave me some options but recommended a pair of cockatoo apistos. He said he's had both the double red and double orange varieties and as far as coloration goes the double orage is a prettier fish.

So whats the deal with these varieties. I googled some and noticed it has to do with the coloration of the fins and which fins are colored. Aside from coloration are there any other distinctions between these two varieties? Anyone have any opinions on one or the other?

I'd get a few of each and see if they crossbreed. who knows, it might be like bettas and make a whole different color of fish.
