Driftwood in Cichlid Tank

I know that Driftwood can lower pH. Right now, I get pH around 8.4. The question is can I use Driftwood in my Cichlid tank?

Yes. I doubt it would cause any major differences. Plus most fish nowadays are very adaptable. I'd check it though after its in there a while just so you don't have major pH changes during W/Cs.

Yes I tihnk you'll be ok. Organic acids are pretty weak, and you should have such a high kH they won't even dent it.

My tap's Ph is very low so I opted to take out the driftwood, but when I had it it dropped the Ph by about .5 overall (and it was a very large peice) so you should be alright.
