ok, I just got 2 big pieces of driftwood (each like a Y shape) off ebay. It came in today and the base was broken so now I have 4 smaller pieces. However, because the base is broken, it's no longer waterlogged. I cannot boil it because there are plastic plants attached to the base around the driftwood. How can I get this to be waterlogged?

I gave it a good rinse and scrub and now the 4 pieces are floating in the tank. (Fishless cycle at the moment).

You could buy some aquarium safe epoxy and attach some slate or rocks to weigh it down in the water.

If you dont want to do that maybe you could just try and boil it without submerging the plastic parts?

you could put it in cold water to get it watterlogged, I dont htink boiling it does too much for waterlogging compared to the cold water.
