Drilled Tank

Hey I just got my 55g tank drilled and I am goign to build an overflow box for it inside, I was wondering if plexi glass would work? or if I should just use regular glass...?

Also does anyone have any pictures of their plumbing for their tank to a sump, I'm trying to wrap my head around how it loosk I have the idea, but I work better with "pictures" hence my collection of "playboy" jk... Anyways.....

Any help would be greatly appreciated

its not easy glueing acrylic to glass...

u might want to go with glass since theres less of a algae problem.

I think glueing acrylic to glass can be done, but its not all that easy, i think most overflow boxes are made out of acrylic/plexiglass becuase its easy to glue, cut and drill ?

Sorry, cant help you with the plumbing. i wouldent have a clue lol.

wat glue do u guys think is best for glass on acrylic?
weldon or aquarium silicone?

i'm using aquarium silicone for glass on glass but weldon 16 is beter for acrylic (i think) HTH

weld on is definitely better than silicone whether it's the thick 16 stuff of the water thick stuff. I do not think it will bond acrylic to glass though. I would use silicon to bond it.
