Driven crazy!!!!

I myself do not have cichlids, but I have a question that has been driving me crazy...what, exactly, is the correct pronunciation for "cichlid?" I know how to spell it, but how to say it is another question entirely, and if you're like me (which is generally not a good thing ) it is a matter of extreme importance!!! My mom says "sicklid" while my dad says "chicklid." What is correct?!!!

Yeah I third Mana.with "sick-lid".

Although I once heared people at the LFS saying "sheek-lid" (maybe it was just their accent )

... Im supprise this question doesnt come up more.
