I recently deployed for some time, and when I returned my Fluval filter was over-due for a change, resulting in what looks like a "Dusty Brown Fur" all over my live rock. I tried shaking the live rock in the aqarium, which keeps making the water cloudy. Then I shook them out in a 5-gallon bucket, but it keeps collecting a coating of brown. My corals & fish seem to be fine, however; the coating is also on any algea that my tangs like to graze on. How do I get rid of this problem, or will time take care of it?
