My dwarf gourami has a patch of scales missing on top of his head and I don't know why. Everything seemed fine a week ago and then i noticed what looked like little flecks in the water around him. I thought they looked like his scales and then looking at his head I noticed the coloration was different than before and hoped that he wasn't actually losing scales. A week passed and now the spot on his head is white and looks completely unprotected by scales. I feel like he's going to lose a bunch from around his eyes, maybe I'm paranoid but it looks like there might be some lifting of the scales.
I don't know what's wrong or how to stop it, please help.
