Ebo-Jager setting the record straight

Ive posted a few things about ebo-jager, some good some bad. im here to set the record straight as to what im saying. Sometimes it works and sometimes it doesnt. Ive had nothing but problems with it. Some days itll keep the perfect temp. others it varys by about 4 degrees. I think i may have a fective one but im not sure. Id still recommend it though. Id just be careful and make sure its returnable. Anybody else have similar problems?

i think ebo jagers are the best but not even ebo jagers are perfect, just perfecter then others, call ebo jager they should send you a replacement

Good point soulfish. My ebo-jager is keeping a better temperature than a lot of other heaters ive tried. Its alot easier to change the settings on to.

It must be your heater, I guess you brought a lemon. Ebo Jager is the only name I trust. I have 3 different sizes and they keep perfect temp. My first Ebo Jager was brought in '93 and still works to this day. I place my heaters next to the intake part of my filter and keeps the temp perfect.
My friend try the Rena Cal top light and almost cooked his fish, now he only uses Jagers.

Ebo's are definatley the best in my opinion. The Visi-Therms are prettly good too. They are made my Marineland now though, so I don't know if they are still made the same or not. The worst i've ever had is thermal compact's made by Hagen.

My Ebo-Jagers never give me any problems. As a matter of fact the LFS where I get my fish, uses Ebo-jagers on all thier tanks including the saltwater tank. I set mine when I frist got them and haven't had to mess with them since then. I would venture to think you have a lemon.
