I have an eclipse system 2 hood on my 25 gallon. I put a new impeller in it about a month ago.an eclipse system 2 ? so thats a filter right... but what you mean about hood on my 25 gallon ? was the filter in the hood ? sorry if i sound dumb today, bin a bit tired... :S

Everything is built into the hood of the eclipse (as you know). I needed the motor assembly for the Eclipse 2, since mine is getting noisy.

differant kinds of filters and media.ive bought from bothand they are fast shipping.
hope this helps you out.there one thing i would like to tell you i have a eclipse 3
it sitting in the barn where i gave it a good place to rot.It has no room for skimmers
the lights are junk and the filter allways need changing i thought i had a new born baby.
get a glass top new light a power filter and a canister i am using a new unimax pro 150
it has a uv built in good for killing off ick and algae. the power filter is a tetratec
PF300 with a heating capsules.this set up with my new lights is a much better set up
for your fish.
