I have a 55gal tank and was wondering if an eel would work in my tank, I have 1 iridescent shark, 1 pleco, and 2 cray fish as of now. Which kinds don't grow that big and work well in tanks? Thanks!
ummm..your "iridescent shark" is that the Pangasius catfish, bc if it it...that sucker can grow up to 4ft long..which obviously is extremely too small to be in a 55gal and
your crayfish will be dinner eventually for that guy
If you ever thought of getting a small eel..a peacock eel is a good choice..although they can be difficult to get to eat..as is true with any eel and frozen foods are generally the foods to go with
I would do some research on the types of eels that are out there if you are really serious about getting one
and as with any eel- they are escape artists so the lids of an aquarium must be closed well or they will escape and land on your floor and dry up
