Eheim filter maintanence schedule question

Hello! In anticipation of my 75g purchase in 2 weeks, I picked up the Eheim 2217 filter. I was wondering what the maintenance schedule would be on this type of filter, with regards to pad, media replacement. I understand I am probably overfiltered for a 75g, but better to go over than under. I plan on stocking slightly lower than normal with freshwater community fish.

Any ideas?

Rinse the fine pad monthly and do a major cleaning every six months -give or take

Remember to clean the impeller when you do your major. Be aware that the plastic impeller cover can be a bugger to re-seat. But it must seat perfectly or performance could suffer.
