Eheim Headache

My Eheim canister's motor started making noise a few weeks ago and it has been driving me slowly insane. I've gone through it with a fine toothed comb several times and all I get is a filter full of air that is even louder. Can anyone offer any advice or can a Portlander get a number for a local Eheim servicer? And yeah, I know its been a while, thanks.

I have a 2217. In that model, I found that the plastic cover plate for the impeller does not seat easily. The tolerances are small and the fit is very snug. If it's not seated perfectly,the filter will make quite a racket and won't pump very well.
