Eheim HOB Filters?

Anyone here have any experience with the Eheim HOB filters? or anyone know how they compare with Aquaclear or others?

I've been using a bio-wheel filter on my 10 gal but was never happy with it... the bio wheel cartridge wouldn't keep turning and the little propeller gadget thingy is very touchy. a real pain to get it to start working if i stop it for maintenance. anyway, i'm setting up a 20 gal planted tank and am trying to decide what to get for filtration.

any comment is greatly appreciated.

For a planted tank id recommend getting a canister filter cuz then ull have less surface agiation while still having good water movement. Other im always pro Aquaclear gotta love them

Thanks for the feedback, Jawz yeah, i thought about getting the Eheim Ecco but really am not wanting to fork out the $70 for a filter at this point... besides, i know of several people that use HOB filters with their planted tanks and have no problem. i'm gonna give the Aquaclear a try.
