Eheim intake tube alternative

I desperately want to get rid of the obnoxious neon bright green Eheim pickup tube for my 2217 (why they make it this color baffles me). Does anyone know of a black or at least more subdued tube that I could replace it with?

Not sure what you could replace it with, but you could take it out and paint it black or whatever with aquarium safe paint. Or, you could try looking at the eheim website to see if they make alternative colors.

What's wrong with neon green?

A pre-made option is to get a new intake and return kit.

Never had an eheim canister so I don't know what will work in the intake, but I'm sure that you could also use some ridged tube for an intake tube, or even PVC pipe for that matter.
