I'm just very slowly getting into Cichlids so bear with me. Ask me about loaches and I can tell you . Anyway, I'd like some more info on general care and what kind of fish will work with them that ARE'NT Cichlids. What do they eat, what about breeding, PH level, Soft or Hard Water?
Do a google search on Labidochromis caerulas and you'll find it all and more. I don't want to seem an arse and lazy, but this is a really well known fish and very, very well documented.
Or start at the breeding reports in www.cichlidae.com and go from there. It's also described countlessly in this forum - why do it again?
I found some info on google search and stuff, now can some of you guys tell me what kind of fish you have had success keeping with these guys that ARE'NT Cichlids?
Syno cats and rainbowfish seem to work, if you can find out which rainbows originate from hard, alkaline water. They're pretty steady so I'd assume large livebearers like swordtails might be ok. The mbuna purists will hate that.
