would it be acceptible to put 4 yellow labs into a 20g planted tank by themselves? or is that over stocked? (1 male + 3 females)

Depends on how big they are, under the 3/4" range should be fine. Load the tank with rocks to ensure they have plenty of hiding spots.

Absolutely not, not if you mean to keep them there for more than two or three months. If it's just a very temporary setup for a couple small juvie labs (like under 1" as already said), then you could use it as a short-term growout tank, but if you mean to use this as a "permanent" setup, then definitely not. Labs easily reach 5-6" each. They're the more peaceful mbuna, but they still can't be crammed into small tanks. Sorry!

ok thats fine, i will leave them in my 150g...i was just wondering cause i thought they might like to have their own tank for themselves. theres no problem though, just curious. thanks!
