Can an Elephantnose go with a black ghost knife? I'm thinking about getting one for when I upgrade to a 55 gallon, and I wanna know If they can go together.

Elephant noses emit electrical charges to map their surroundings. I am not sure if black ghost knives do this also, as I have no experience with these fish. I do know that elephant noses DO NOT like to be in close quarters with other electromagnetic fish. There's another word for it, but it eludes me at the moment. Electro-something or another.

Please read this before you buy an elephant nose. It is a fish profile on wetwebmedia, and it includes some VERY important Do's and Don't's about elephantnoses.

For instance, iron is bad for them. ANy planted tank owners dose iron out there? (Me for one)

they call them "electrogenic"

Some south American knife fishes are also weakly electrogenic, as the article points out. You definitely woudn't want to put 2 electrogenic fish together in cramped quarters.
