Can my ten gallon hold an emerald crab (or even can my fish be with an emerald crab)? My tank has alot of algae in it and from what I hear emerald crabs are good algae eaters.

what type of algae? My emerald devours green hair (but that was only when I had it.) I think he should be fine with the tank inhabitants but make sure he is feed or he will turn on your coraline and corals..

Also you may want to be carefull if you have alot of algae with corals/adding new specimins to the tank. I would personally find the cause of the algae before adding more to the ten gallon.

I have some kind of brownish algea. I don't know what it is, but I do know over time it become green.

The cause of my algea is because I used to use non-reverse osmosis water and probably because my LR is just evil! It took me three months for it to go through cycle and I had a pretty bad light through some of it.
