no way who do you think your talking to.i do mantaince once a week.it's like the energizer that powers the impeller is wearing out.i checked it out for an hour.i even removed all the flow direrting dohickys to make sure no flow was restricted.it still powers the spraybars thankfully but for how long is my problem.

i'll have to try that when i get home from work.i just don't want to have to buy a new filter right at a crutial time like the eve of a vacation, cause then i would have WAY too much stuff to worry about while i'm gone.

i'm gonna clean it anyways just to be sure.i noticed that many of the flow diverting peices were worn down and ratteled a lot.i think i will replace it with a penguin 330.less moving parts to worry about.the cost to replace worn parts is as much as the filter itself.i suppose a litlte hot glue would hold everything in place too though.

Is it the magnet part or the plastic part? If it is a hair line crack, then really you are running on barowed time. A quck fix might be if you are able to dry the impeller very good, apply a little bit of super glue, and after the super glue dries you could try and put some hot glue on it to make double sure nothing would seep into the tank.
