What would be comparable to an Emperor 400? I found one on Drs Foster and Smith for $37.99 and by the time I had the money to buy it (along with some other stuff to even out the shopping) they don't have it now. I have one already but I wanted a second one for my 125g. Would it be ok to put a 400 on one side and a 280 on the other side or is there a power filter that would be just as good if not better to go with the one I have.

If I may, I would like to recommend that you check reviews on the new Odyssea CFS4/Jebo canister filter. I purchase one on Ebay for $50 and I liked it so much I sent for another one. So now I have two running on my 100g. This filters are super nice and I couldn't believe what I got for my money. I guess this filter is the underdog for now until it picks up popularity. It is pretty much design like a Eheim. Please understand that claimed rate of water flow is tested without media. Most test have reflected that the CFS4 pumps about 160g per hour, this is pretty compatible with any well know namebrands.
I will definatelly buy a CFS4 anytime of the day before an Emperor 400. I know this because I had an Emperor 400. Emperor do great with not so messy fishes. Good luck...
