I have a 10 tall Via Aqua thats pretty heavily planted.. And, hardly anything in it. I'm sick of the same old thing. Right now, all I have is an oto, a betta, a platy, and a killifish, all of which can be moved for something new. I just don't knwo waht new should be. My mom wants tetras, I want something, different, something I haven't tried before. Any ideas? TIA

what do you want?

what kind of things are you interested in? Do you want fish or something else entirely? One of the coolest tanks I ever had was a 16g tall with a tall piece of wood, some small pots, and a couple rocks. I put some tetras in it and put a blue lobster (australian crayfish) in with them. The lobster might cost you $25 but he'll entertain by trying to catch the fast tetras... and occasionally being successful. Feed brine shrimp because if the crayfish doesn't catch the fish he'll need the shrimp to eat off the bottom... good luck!

good choice

Rainbows are a good hearty fish... and very pretty too... I guess it depends on how much $$ you can deposit into your fish tank... planted tanks are especially pricey... for a 10g planted tank I like 1 male and 2 female german blue rams... and a molly or 2 to give a little surface disturbance and keep the rams active... rams can be difficult to keep however so beware... rainbows are a great fish regardless... good luck

yeah, ive tried my luckw ith rams, 5 times, after that 5th one, I just gave up.. SO far, I actually haven't put that much money into the tnak, since all the plants I've used (except the crypts) are ones I have alot of, and the crypts I got for a good price...

Heres a pic of the tank (hope this works!)

The swordplants grown an inch since sunday, so, In a few weeks, it'll look less baren. I had a huge aponogeton in there, but, it's time for it to go dormant, so I took it out, and put this in instead. I don't expect it to last long, but, I figured it would work until I find something of a more sutible size to put in there..
