I just bought soime discus. When the guy was netting them, one (that I chose not to buy ... ) flipped out. It did a 180 spin and zoomed into the glass behind it, knocking itself out. I was sure the thing had died. I was all thinking to myself, "Man, if they go down like that just from the net, I think I'm making a bad buy. Good ole Tetras ... that's where it's at."
Meanwhile, the discus was pure white, lost all its color. It was laying on the bottom, sideways, and it was totally not moving.
The guys shrugs and mutters "Prolly just knocked himself out" ... so I watched for about five minutes while the discus slowly regained his senses and coloring. His eyes were even crossed when he woke up.
I SO thought he was done for.
Anyone ever seen that happen to a fish before? I never knew. . .
