Ew thats Ich

Well it happend. Both of my Green Terrors have ich. I started treating the water when I first saw the white spots. I treated once every 24 hours with maracide. I followed all the instructions for the product and it's been four days, and still the spots. I've read up on ich and know that even after the spots are gone the ich is still in the water for some time. Any other Meds our there that a petco or lfs would have thats better than maracide???

It takes time and patience. If you read up about the ich lifecycle, it will make sense why it takes a while for symptoms to disappear, as no medicine can kill them while they're on the fish. Give it a few more days and see how it is.

I had ich on a dwarf gourami a couple of months ago and it took about nine days or so for the spots to be completely gone. I treated the water for another week to be completely sure.
