My friend has a feather duster and I don't really know much about them but I know that they form their "cacoon" from sand and calcium carbonate.
The issue is that the cacoon has been growing but also causing the opening to become smaller, because of this the feather duster is not coming out as much and I think it's cause its hurting it. Today we got some tweezers and opened up the opening and took some pieces off to make the opening bigger. Since we did this about 2 hours ago the opening just kinda folded in on itself, the feather duster still hasnt come out and I don't think it can.
If you have any information on feather dusters or how to prevent this or help the duster that would be great.
