feather duster

I see alot of feather dusters at the beach where we live and I would like to put acouple of them in my tank.When I try to get them out of the sand they are down in pretty far.Do I have to get the whole duster out of the sand or can I just get part of it.Im not sure if you break them it would kill it.

You need the whole animal...and im pretty sure its illegal to collect
