Feather dusters

It looks like I have little feather dusters growing out of certain spots of my live rock, about 10 of them throughout the tank. My live rock really looks good now that it has had time to settle in and grow some new stuff on it. Are the feather dusters normal or am I just lucky?

how long have you had the live rock in your tank?

pretty normal i would say...most likely these will stay small (no bigger than 1/2" across the crown, but who knows...all sorts of good stuff comes in on quality LR

I have had my live rock for about 6 months.

sometimes these things take a while to appear...i just discovered a sponge growing on one piece of my LR which I have had 8 months...another just sprouted a small colony of polyps which do not match any i have in my tank...
