feeding a pleco veggies question

anyone have any tips on how i could sink some lettuce or cucumber to the bottom of my tank to feed my pleco with out anything going wrong with the water or other fish
i am i fisherman so i have some split shots and other fishing equipment at my fingertips

If you have rocks in your tank, I would take one out (a decent-sized one), tie the veggie to it, then sink it back into the tank. They also make veggie clips that are weighted, but I'm not a fan of the way they look.

I would use split shots or weights from fishing tackle in your tank...if I'm not mistaken, most of those are made out of lead, which can poinson your fish.

I made my own 'veggie clips' by taking the commercially made ones and covering the plastic goofy looking outer piece with gravel so that it matched the aquarium decor.

Use a wooden skewer and make vegie kebabs! That's what I do and all my fish enjoy them. I just poke the pointy end into the substrate.
