hi, i bought some live feed today, water flea and artemia. I've asked people about feeding this before some say to just tip it all in the tank including the dirty looking water and others say to try and drain the water out. anybody have any knowledge or experiences on feeding live food? I'm just a bit worried the dirty looking water might upset my levels?

Hi Kezdoc09, I have fed my fish live bloodworm before. I drained the liquid out, i to was scared the liquid would upset the tank water. I feed a mixture of dried and frozen live foods at the moment, i find that a lot easier! Hope that helps. :)

I usualy pour the liquid through a very fine net(usually the white colored ones) and then have a container to catch it not putting the water the live food was in in my tank.. If your net is not small enough...I would not put all the dirty water in your tank but try and pour some out.

ok, thanks guys. I do also feed frozen and dried foods but i got these glass catfish couldn't resist them but they are so hard to feed!! they get excited at feed time and come out but then just sit there and wait for some to float past them, they don't ever seem to go after the food so i thought this might help?! i;ll let u know
