feeding oscars?

cant believe i missed this post!
oscars eat, as mentioned above, almost anything that fits into their mouths.
in the wild, they are mostly a surface-feeing insectivevore.....but also eat things like seeds, nuts, and the occasional fish.
feeding them feeders is a personal choice, but i dont simply b/c the nasty conditions they are kept in at my LFS.
at any rate they really should only be fed on occasion and should not make up anywhere NEAR the bulk of their diet.
