Feeding question

Ok, so i have been "phasing out" the guppies in my tank lately to free up space for other fish that wont overbreed in the tank. i was in the Fish store several days ago and i saw they had a solitary pair of South american Bumblebee cats not more than an inch long each. well i thought they were the coolest thing since fewer guppies and i picked them up. They seem to be doing pretty well in the tank.

MY problem is this: they are the sort of cats with wide gaping mouths. as near as i can tell, these types of cats dont chew their food like cories, they pretty much jsut eat it whole. i am wondering if this will be a problem, because all i have to feed my bottom feeders is sinking wafers (algae and fishmeal) and those little shrimp pellets. All of those are very hard and in the case of the wafers, far too big for their mouths.

What should i feed these guys? also, if any of my observations are wrong please let me know.

I have 2 SA bumblebee cats, I feed them sinking wafers as the primary diet, it is amazing how they wil pick them up and carry them off, the wafer gets softer the longer it is in the water, but mine will shake it until they break off a bite sized piece.

Make sure they have plenty of hiding places and dont be surprised if you dont see them for weeks at a time, they are strictly nocturnal unlss they are very hungry. I had 1 that went from about 1/2 an inch to almost 2in by the time i saw him again.

Also if you still have guppies they may eat the fry but not sure on that.
