Does it have to be cooked? raw? deseeded? What about lettuce what kind or spinach? I am thinking my ottos may enjoy this.

All you need to do with the zucchini (hmm spelling? lol) is take it, chop off a small portion (no more than 1/2 an inch), take the peel off, & rubber band it to a rock or solid object so that it may stay in one place at the bottom of your tank. I did it for my loaches, but my ottos were the ones to go absolutely nuts!! No need to cook or anything. Then you can throw plastic wrap over the zucchini & throw it back in the fridge for later feedings.

You can blanch it so it will sink better, but it's not necessary. I feed mine to my pleco raw and attached to a veggie clip. I also think you should leave the peel on. That's the first part of the zucchini my pleco goes for. ;)

I always blanch greens to before feeding them to my fish. To blanch, boil water, then drop the veggies in for a FEW seconds to soften them up. THen take them out. easy and fast
