the plec would like some veggeis on occasion, and should do fine on algea tabs also. the other 2 will eat just about anything. if ya got snails the loach will be very pleased with a snack of them....

Hi everybody,

i just got 2 goldfish. The one is really active and swims very fast to the grains the second i drop them in the tank. He is however very dominant and 'killed' the other fish, it probably died from stress. Now i got a new one, but he doesn't want to eat anything. At first i thought the dominant one was causing this, but after seperating them for a day, he still doesn't want to eat anything. He is very quite and looks quite shabby. What can i do to make him eat? He doesn't swim to the surface, but he doesn't eat the grains on the bottom either. The other fish is just fine, so i don't think there's something wrong with the water... I know he's new and he probably has to adjust, but he hasn't eaten for days now and i'm afraid he won't hold up for much longer. Is there anybody who can give me some advice??

Thanx a lot!!!

My clown loaches love algae tabs just as much as my bristle nosed plec. The way the act I think it’s probably their favorite food. But I’ve noticed that my clown loaches are not picky at all. They usually eat a diet of algae tabs, blood worms, shrimp pellets, and brine shrimp.
