Female Bettas with male guppies?

Can I safely house 2-3 female bettas with 2 male guppies? I know it wouldn't work if the betta was male...

Also, I read that male guppies should not be be kept in more than pairs if in a small tank... This true? I also got conflicting info on adult size... 2" or 2.5"

Or should I post guppy questions the livebearer section?

My female betta nips at the fins of anything that gets to close ot her and tries to eat her food but she's freaky aggressive.

I don't know how most guppies would do with a betta I would suggest maybe instead Enders (or is it Endlers) Livebearers, they're small but super brightly colored and their tails are shorter and less flowy.

Guppies are fine with each other. I have had 6-10 males together without any problem at all.
