Female Bettas

I was thinking about getting a female betta and was wondering, can female bettas be together?Or are they like male bettas were they have to be seperated.

I heard (not sure) that they can be together but they might fight. Territory and such.

Depends.

If the tank is large enough, and the females temperments are suitable, then maybe.

I say maybe because 3 females might be fine in the store tank, then start fighting once you bring them home. Be prepared to return them (or seperate them) should they fight,

Now, a little chasing is fine, but if one female keeps the other females constantly hiding, its not a good life.

i read on one web site that you can keep a few of them together, more than 5 and upwards toward 10. no less than 3 to 4. they have to establish an evened out pecking order. in no less than a 10 gall. tank but dont quote me on that part.
